STRENGTH
Get stronger! At A Balanced Approach, each session is designed to meet you where you are, helping you achieve your health and fitness goals through scientifically-backed training techniques. Our instructors ensure that every workout is safe, effective, and fun, catering to all fitness levels. Modifications provided. Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations so we may accommodate you.
Bootcamp, Strength, Lift
Our strength classes are instructor specific regarding structure, but all utilize upbeat music & timed intervals so you can go at your own pace & do what you can do. Using dumbbells, bands, or body-weight, you will work each major muscle group for a balanced workout.
TRX
Using the TRX straps attached to the ceiling, you will love this workout! Total body moves with a serious core focus, this class has an 8 person max so you'll receive even more personalized instruction. We usually combine this class with cycle for a complete cardio/strength workout!
Progressive Lift & LiftXpress
Taught by a Certified Personal Trainer, this class focuses on those important foundational muscles. Working together as a group, your trainer counts out the reps, with the goal of maxing out on the last two reps. Increasing weights incrementally over time, you will grow stronger quickly in this class!
Beginner Strength Training
New to weights? Has it been awhile? If you've been thinking "I need to get in shape before I go to class", this class is for you. We meet you where you are, you'll learn correct form and proper technique. All are welcome!

Yoga
From Vinyasa Basics to reaching a deeper understanding through our various limited series, we round out our fitness offerings with the deep stretch & mind body connection you can only get with yoga. For the ultimate in self-care, let us calm your nervous system with Restorative Yoga.
Barre
For something a little different, meet us at the ballet barre! Build balance, strength, and flexibility through traditional barre work, core stabilization, and upper body resistance. Target glutes, thighs, & calves while strengthening core and toning arms & shoulders. This class will leave you feeling invigorated & strong.
Mat Pilates
Build your core with the lengthening stretch & deep muscle exercises of Pilates. Improve strength & flexibility of the stabilizing muscles of the abdomen & lower back
Fusion Classes
Watch for our fusion classes, where we combine the classes above with another format such as cycle, weights, BOSU or mobility.

CARDIO
Cardio isn't just for calorie burn! We need it for a strong heart and healthy joints. From HIIT to Cycle to Kickboxing, we will get you moving!
Cycle
We have the best cycle instructors in Kodiak! From longer technical rides to shorter "dance-y" combo classes, you'll find a class that suits you. Cycle is high energy, low impact and great for all levels. If you're new, please come in a few minutes early to learn proper bike set-up.
HIIT/ FIIT
Get fitter, faster! Push out of your comfort zone with a blend of strength, endurance, and cardiovascular work. Alternate between short periods of highly intense activity and low intensity exercise/ rest. HIIT workouts are scientifically proven to burn calories up to 2 hours after class!
Kickbox Tabata
No coordination? No problem!
This class is designed to be simple so you can give it your all. Simplified moves combined with timed intervals make this class very accessible. No choreography, no complicated moves. This class is SO fun!

SilverSneakers
For our 60+ crowd!
SilverSneakers Circuit is interval-style training, designed to strengthen your upper-body with tubing, handheld weights and a ball. Low-impact cardio movements may be added to maximize fitness benefits. A chair is offered for support. This is a social class, we start with a good 8-10 minutes of chatting!
